Well, 6,200 miles and 116 days later, the Bike America team reached its ultimate goal of Mexico. Be sure to check out all of our amazing pictures in the Gallery, as well as an archive of all our journals in a finalized Update. To say that it was an epic journey is just the beginning of it. Every day was an adventure in itself. We faced new challenges day in and day out, be it bugs, huge hills, oppressive heat, bad drivers, or our own inner selves. But, we were determined, and we perservered with the overall strength of the group, and with the help from many amazing people along the way. We have all learned so much, and have grown stronger because of it. We now take that strength our separate ways, and apply it to whatever we do next. I hope that we can pass on our current state of joy and exhilaration to those around us. I also believe that we were very successful in our efforts for the Michael J. Fox Foundation. We told hundreds of people across the country of our cause, our site has been visited by many thousand people, and we also raised money for the foundation. So hopefully our efforts have made a positive contribution in the fight of Parkinson's. This is the final update for this site. Please look through our gallery, we shot some amazing stuff. We also have journal entries posted from everyone for the entire trip. These pictures and journals tell only a part of our tale. If you would like more info about this trip, or if you just think this website is wicked cool, please email me at Brian@BikeAmerica2003.com. Peace |
